Out now, this is ‘Little Bird’ – the new single from excellent new UK songwriter Jess Thristan. At just 19 years of age, Thristan is an artist who already seems to have matured as a songwriter, taking lyrical concepts and metaphors and using them brilliantly to tell her stories.
The song is also seeing her break new ground, playing acoustic section for national radio as well as online outlets such as On’t Sofa.
It remains to be seen what comes next from Jess Thristan, but it’s only been a few months since her last release – EP ‘Side By Side’ – and I’ll be hoping it won’t be too long until the next one either. This is a top class songwriter who is still developing, and I look forward to seeing how that journey continues.
