Ann Wilson is well known for her countless hits with Heart and is a Rock & Roll Hall of fame inductee. Now she has released her first solo EP ‘The Ann Wilson Thing’ via Rounder Records. A couple of the featured tracks are ‘Fool No More’ which Ann describes as “a heavy blues song about bad love and the fleeting of time” and ‘For What It’s Worth’. The EP was released digitally September 18th and will in stores October 9th.
Along with the EP additional tour dates have been announced. The tour began September 21st in Solana Beach, CA., additional dates will include The Katherine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center on October 6th, and a 2nd show at City Winery in New York on October 7th. Also Alison Krauss and Emmylou Harris will be siting in with Wilson at her Nashville City Winery date on Oct. 15th, and Jon Batiste, the band leader of the Colbert Show, will join her for a song at the New York City Winery show.
Ann Wilson is obviously an amazing songwriter and renowned singer. Now you’ll be able to enjoy her new work in this intimate tour including raw performances of blues and rock songs. The tour is almost all sold out already so check out the remaining dates and make sure to try to get your seat!
