Pikey mans a roiling jaunty piano, the drums snap us along as Jody Quine delivers a full and sexy perfect-pitch vocal. Berggren’s low spoken counter of Quine’s “I love you Santa” and the little extra touches of keyboard lead puts the icing on a true rich holiday (fruit) cake.
This could easily become a pop Christmas perennial.
