  • About Us & History:  
    Dawn Draws Near: the brain child of Josh Picard. Inspired by concept albums such as Pink Floyd's "The Wall", The Who's "Tommy", and Coheed and Cambria's Amory Wars saga, Josh crafted a story he wishes to tell in song. Using his progressive songwriting, the tale is woven throughout the songs played by the band.

    Along with writing the songs, Josh handles the vocals and plays guitar for the band. Using several prog-rock and metal influences, he tries to bring a unique, driving song to the rhythm, but also driving hard solos in the lead.

    Playing on top of Josh is Fernando Franco. Nando provides the keys, adding a synthesized lead that fits into the rhythm like clockwork.

    Finally we get to Jonny Braunsdorf. Jonny plays the drums. He carries the most essential role, providing the in your face groove and hits that really drive the song home.

    Combining all of the elements of these four players, you get Dawn Draws Near. A band, a story, an experience.
