  • MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.

What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?

    • Marshall Dane: Pleasure is mine 🙂
My family surrounded me with music from before I was even born. I developed an ear as a 4 year old plunking notes to my favorite kid melodies on the piano. By 12 I was playin’ guitar…at 14 I was adding music to my poetry…and then got a gig at 15 in a lil café, for $35 and Cheesecake. The rest as they say…is history.
  • MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?
    • Marshall Dane: Kenny Rogers, Bon Jovi, Cat Stevens, Guns N Roses, John Denver, Metallica, Garth Brooks
  • MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?

    • Marshall Dane: The ultimate goal is to always be able to play…the career goal is to get paid for it and not starve 🙂 … The message I send is…do it because you LOVE it…. Keep your standards High…and expectations low… Remember that “It’s all about a Good Hang”… and finally…. you must learn to “know when to hold em….and know when to fold em”
  • MuzicNotez: What’s the greatest concert you’ve ever been to or performed?
    • Marshall Dane: Prince… Live in Toronto – so talented!!
