MuzicNotez: First off, it’s an honor to be doing this interview with you, thanks for taking the time to sit down with us.
What motivated you to start creating music? What age did you begin?
Nick I Am A Don: I started rapping at about age 12, but I was motivated by my father and his band. They used to rock out in the basement. So even before I started rapping at 12 I thought I was a singer, so I been dealing with music my whole entire life.
MuzicNotez: Who were your musical influences, idols, or bands growing up that have helped mold you into the musician you are today? Or helped mold the music that you create?
Nick I Am A Don: You could say tupac, biggie, big pun. Those are my influences. And what helped me stay motivated with the music is my life experiences, and as of now, whats keeping me motivated is my kids, and the fact that im trying to put my city on the map.
MuzicNotez: What’s the ultimate goal you want your music to achieve, or for you to achieve in your career as a musician? Any particular message you wish to send?
Nick I Am A Don: My goal is to eventually make enough money to live comfortably. But yea im tryna put my city on the map, like I said before, it’s a lot of talent where im from and it needs to be exposed. As far as any message im trying to send, I would say just keep grinding and keep doing what you love to do because it eventually pays off.
